The client operated a large agricultural site with significant energy demands driven by irrigation systems. Rising electricity costs and dependence on grid power created increasing pressure on operating budgets, particularly during peak irrigation periods.

Emergena began by assessing the site's energy consumption patterns, irrigation schedules, and available land conditions. This allowed the engineering team to identify when and where renewable generation could deliver the greatest operational value.

A solar energy system was then designed around the farm's irrigation requirements and daily consumption profile. The solution was integrated to support existing infrastructure while reducing reliance on grid electricity during high-demand periods.

The system was designed not simply to generate renewable energy, but to align generation with how the operation actually used power.

The completed system reduced the operation's dependence on conventional grid electricity and delivered a more predictable energy supply for irrigation activities.

By aligning renewable generation with peak operational demand, the project helped lower energy costs while improving the long-term resilience of the site's energy infrastructure.

The project also created a measurable reduction in operational emissions, supporting the client's broader sustainability objectives without disrupting agricultural productivity.

With ongoing performance monitoring, the operator can continue to evaluate energy production and identify opportunities for further optimization over time.
